Arnold Lodge fencers impress at champs

Three skilful fencers from Arnold Lodge School gave a top performance in the West Midlands British Youth Championships qualifiers in Stratford.

Samantha Greenwood pridefullygained agold medal in the under 14 girls sabre category, and is very eager for the next competition ahead.

In the under 12's, Jemi-ma Warwick fenced fiercely against the winner and se-eured her place on the podium in third position.

Luca Davey took fifth position in the under 12 boys sabre and just missed the podium, but still demonstrated great skills to climb to the top.

"I feel disappointed that I didn't get further but I still really enjoyed the competi-tion," Luca said.

With the upcoming West Midlands Finals, the three fencers have been qualified to compete and it will sure beanothertop performance.
